DESCRIPTION

 

The Mud Giant MKIII is our take on the popular  vintage Univox Superfuzz pedal.

The Superfuzz has been used by countless musicians like Pete Townshend of the Who, Jus Oborn of the Electric Wizard, Fu Manchu’s Scott Hill and Josh Homme.

The Mud Giant is a fresh approach to the original design. The most important aspect is the tone control. The original pedal has a switch that produces two different fuzz tones.

On the Mud Giant you can get these two fuzz tones at each end of the tone control and all blended tones in between these two. You will be amazed by the versatility the tone control provides. From an ULTRA HEAVY scooped crushing fuzz tone with the tone control rolled off to a nasty punishing fuzz tone full of mids and treble with the tone at max.

It covers such a extreme variety of fuzz tones that guarantees it will successfully fit your gear.

Another update of the Mud Giant is how noiseless it is. When using a power supply on the superfuzz or even a battery, you get a lot of hiss while not playing. We overcame this issue and now you can enjoy it without any interference.

 

Don’t think twice, if you’re looking for an ultra heavy fuzz tone in the likes of Electric Wizard and Fu Manchu, you found your guy!

1. Heavy Duty die-cast aluminium enclosure
2. Printed graphics
3. High quality switches and alpha pots
4. 1% tolerance resistors
5. Stranded core wires
6. Lead-free (Sn96,3 Ag3,7) solder

 

To use it, plug your instrument or other effect output to the right side of the pedal and the amp or other effect input to the left side of the pedal and prepare yourself to be crushed!It can be powered up either by a 9V battery, or by a standard 9V adaptor (like the boss ones with negative in the centre). The DC input is at the top side of the pedal.

 

The Mud Giant as all our other pedals is True Bypass.

 

To make your battery last longer, please unplug the pedal’s input after using it.

-Level: Volume cotrol

-Tone: As already described covers the two different superfuzz tones with the bassiest tone being counterclockwise and the treblier one clockwise.

-Mud: Controls the intensity of the fuzz.
